DJ Das Wade's Great Halloween Party and the Winners of the Halloween Costume Contest

DJ Das Wade

I was honoured tonight to be asked to judge a Halloween costume contest.  DJ Das Wade was spinning his magical music at the Totally 80s Club and he asked me to come along. Everyone looked amazing in their Halloween outfits, so it was a pretty difficult decision to choose the winners. The party was in full swing and everyone was having a fantastic time.  The lucky winners of the contest were: in first place  Kat Acoustic, in second place Đoη Ŕomαrío and in third place Doris (MissDorisse Resident).  Well done to the winners!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN TO EVERYONE!

Scary Clown and a Game of Skippo!

Hibiscus and I were playing our usual game of Skippo tonight and then we had a visitor, a scary Clown! What is it about Clowns that people find so frightening! Well, I've no idea, but for some reason they are a bit creepy! This one was friendly though, it turned out to be our very own Ed Follet dressed up for Halloween and he looked great. I hope everyone has fun tomorrow, lots more treats than tricks!!

Happy 11th Rez Day Janis - Janis Celebrated With An Early Moulin Rouge Party

HangOut owner and DJ Janis Short had an early celebration for her 11th Rez day tonight, and what a wonderful party! She picked the theme of the Moulin Rouge and the venue and costumes were stunning, Janis looked just the part in her beautiful yellow showgirl outfit. She had worked her magic again to create a splendid virtual copy of the famous Moulin Rouge and everyone had fun finding those risqué costumes to bring the whole thing to life.  The real Moulin Rouge (French for Red Mill) is located in Paris, France and legendary for its cabaret acts including the can-can.  Janis told me that one of her favourite artists is Toulouse-Lautrec who had been a regular customer at the Moulin Rouge and Lautrec had originally been commissioned to produce a collection of posters when the cabaret first opened.  Toulouse-Lautrec had a reserved seat at the Moulin Rouge and they displayed his paintings there which included subjects of the artists appearing in the cabaret.

Those eleven years have gone by so quickly and I hope Janis has a great Rez Day and may she have many more!
