Willy Wonka Night At The HangOut Was As Sweet As Candy!

Purps (PurpleMia Macpherson)

Willy Wonka is a fictional  character introduced to us  by Roald Dahl in his 1964 novel called Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.  Dahl's novel was later made into a cult film, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, which starred the late great Gene Wilder; Sadly the actor passed away this year.  In memory of Wilder, Janis Short, dj and owner of the HangOut Club, decided to put a special Willy Wonka Party on tonight as a tribute.

This party oozed of sweet things, a chocolate dance floor, candy bars and lollipops everywhere, even a chocolate fountain! Scrummy! There were quite a few Willy's, all smartly dressed and some devilish Oompa-Loompas as well as some naughty chocolate loving kids.  One little girl called Purps ate so much she put on pounds as the evening went on.

Janis played some of the sound track from the movie as well as other great tunes, it was a tasty evening!
