Flower power hit the HangOut club tonight, the psychedelic colours and hues of the late sixties Woodstock was alive and well, accompanied by some beautiful classic American hippie tunes played by dj/club owner Janis Short. The tie-dyed shirts, bellbottom jeans, John Lennon tinted spectacles and boho dresses set the scene in the very popular venue as the clubbers swayed in time to the music. According to Wicki "The Woodstock Music & Art Fair—informally, the Woodstock Festival or simply Woodstock—was a music festival attracting an audience of over 400,000 people, scheduled over three days on a dairy farm in New York state from August 15 to 17, 1969, but which ran over four days to August 18, 1969"
Woodstock is a part of rock history, I bet if people could time travel this is one of the events they would pick to attend. Thanks for a great night Janis!
