There was a brilliant Birthday Party at Zorro's Tavern last night (yes, it's gone midnight now, late for me, so you have to excuse any typos!).  It was Bernie Galtier's birthday and she looked absolutely beautiful in a pretty pale blue dress and trendy blue highlighted hair.  The music was supplied by dj Minxy Woodsheart who played some great classics like the Eagle's Hotel California.  Minxy also played some Prince tunes too, as we heard about the death of rock legend Prince, very sad news.  Oh course, it was someone else's birthday on the 21 April too, the papers were full of the fact that Queen Elizabeth celebrated her 90th birthday. She should have dropped into Bernie's party and boogied the night away with Bernie and her friends, she missed a great party!!

Interesting Night At the Bernie Sanders SL HQ

Onwards and upwards with my quest to explore the campaigns for the USA elections in Second Life, I found a great SL HQ for Bernie Sanders this evening.  There were quite a few people there when I arrived, curiously, even a couple of people from outside of America, Scotland and the Netherlands, so I wasn't the only foreigner in attendance! Like the Trump campaigners last night, the Bernie supporters were very passionate about their would be Presidential Candidate Sanders.  I must admit I've watched a couple of his speeches and he does say a lot of things people want to hear, so the race is getting interesting, as Trump supporters too are very fired up for their guy.  There doesn't seem to be much going on in SL as far as Clinton, but maybe I haven't searched hard enough yet to find any real sims for her. Anyways, thanks for the nice welcome to the people at the Sanders' HQ, they even have a fund raising event on the 23rd April, a concert, for anyone who wants to pop along.

SL Donald Trump HQ is a lively place to visit no matter who you support

As I've written before, I've been following the lead up to the USA elections this year; We are definitely in interesting, though extremely dodgy times!  SL is used as a forum for political issues too sometimes and tonight I spotted an SL Donald Trump Headquarters (I would point out that this is not an official site as far as the real life campaign goes).  It's a very popular venue run and owned by JP Laszlo and he told me that they have some great discussions there.  While I sat there quite a few people came in, some for and some against Mr Trump.  I'll be going back to listen in on some of the discussions, which should be quite lively going by the strong feelings people have about their idea of who the next President should be. If you fancy a look or a chat visit the Trump 2016 Second Life Headquarters yourself.

Dripping With Blood At The HangOut Club With Vampires Galore!

The blood was a'dripping from the fangs of the guests, the white pearly skins of the dancers looked eerie in the pale moonlight which shone through the windows of the HangOut Club! The dancers had their talons drawn as their dark cavernous eyes hungrily roamed the room for their next victim!  (I hid in the corner, well out of the way of the vampires, just in case they fancied a bite!).  The invite from HangOut Club owner/dj Janis Short said "A MONOCHROMATIC DRACULA EVENT ..FEATURING THE SETS OF THE ICONIC EDWARD GOREY STAGE PRESENTATION ... THEME IS VAMPIRES"  And it certainly was a great night, plenty of atmosphere and fun with all the amazing costumes! (sorry I missed taking a picture of Barbi and Slate, I was slow getting around the room, well I had all those vampires to dodge, and sadly Barbi and Slate had left before I got a shot of them!).  Fantastic evening, as ever Janis, thank you!
