Be kind and remember the wild birds while this big freeze is on, any left over scraps you have, bread, cheese, basically anything as well as wild bird seed, will do. Plus a bowl of fresh water which is a must as they find it hard to get a drink when everything is so frozen.Talking of frozen, I went to New London yesterday and saw a pitiful sight, while everyone is trying to get home for Christmas, one little guy definitely won't make it, he was frozen to the spot. I know he's a Dalek but even Daleks have a Mum and Dad they want to celebrate Christmas with! While you are putting the birds food out, put out a cup of oil as well, just in case a Dalek wanders past your house trying to find his way home!

I'm going to go out right now and fill the bird feeder! Thanks for the reminder.
Me too - as I mentioned when we talked before, these poor things need food over the long harsh winter. Otherwise there will barely be enough meat on their bones for soup this Spring!

Good for you Hib!! Least you aren't fattening them up for the cooking pot like Drax!!!
I think squirrels eat the bird seed, too, Drax.
