Virtually London (lite) - Final Post

I have some sad news, well sad for me and I’m sure for Hibiscus, Ed and not forgetting Pixi. Virtually London (lite) will finish today, I have enjoyed bringing the Virtual London news to you, and it’s been great fun over the last 18 months or so. There will be bigger Magazines, no doubt, brought in to cover what is going on in the London sims, so we are bowing out. I will be able to relax being in Virtual London as a visitor for a change, without the worry of tomorrow’s deadline.

The good news is that Hib, Ed, Pixi and I will continue with ‘Our Virtual Trilogy’ and who knows, we might even have the odd London story from time to time, as we love the virtual capital.

I want to thank all our readers who have travelled this wonderful journey with us, and I hope to see you in the Underground Club or Mayhem Club sometime.

I'm so sad to hear that the blog is finishing, Janey. Yourself and Hibiscus, and lately Ed have done such a wonderful job reporting on the news around the London sims, and the Virtually London Blog is a huge part of SL London. It will be sorely missed. Good luck in the future, and we'll have to read the Virtual Trilogy blog more often now. :) Take care all three of you.

Thank you Janey, and Hib, and everyone, for everything that's graced these pages over the last 2 years. It's been a pleasure reading your work, and being kept up-to-date on what's been happening in the London sims. May the future bring you the journalistic credit you so deserve :-)

London Lite has been an absolute joy to read these past years. Janey, Hibiscus and Ed --- you have all made the SecondLife experience a richer one for all of us.

I hope that after a hiatus you'll reconsider!!

We Are The People - In this City

We are the people that rule the world.
A force running in every boy and girl,
All rejoicing in the world,
Take me now, we can try.

And I found that round here
In this city, That I won't disappear
In this city, I got nothing to fear
In this city,

Two songs that have been buzzing round my head for the last few days that now seem strangely appropriate.

Thanks to Janey and Hib and all the residents of the great SL city of London.

Ed :-))

Hi Liz, Anon, Nik, Drax, Ed and Nils,

Thank you for your kind words, it's been brilliant writing about the London community and I count you all as good friends and I hope to still be part of the social side of things which I love. Special thank you to Nik for giving me the chance to write the blog in the first place. I'm finishing on a high, as our number of hits are the best they have ever been and I would really like people to follow our adventures over the whole grid on 'Our Virtual Trilogy' a blog that Hib, Pixi, Ed and I all own.

Janey :))

I am so incredibly sad. Your blog helped us see all the great things that were happening in London as well as the faults. In many ways you were a guiding light for our community. You and your team will be terribly missed. Im sure that where ever you end up you'll have continued success.
Good luck to you.

Kindest regards,
TD Reinard

Very sorry to hear that the blog is finishing. I've enjoyed reading the blog. Perhaps 3 other people could take over the reigns if yourself, Hibiscus & Ed can no longer do it. You three have done exceptional work and I am really sorry to see it end.

Hello Estelle and Redstar

Thanks Estelle for pointing that out, Nik had told me about pinging the blog ages ago, and I have found links to it on lots of other blogs and obscure sites that I would never have believed would be reading us!

Thank you too Redstar, for reading our London stories, it is with sadness that I close the site, and there is nothing to stop someone else setting up a similar blog if they want to.

A shame to know you all won't continue updating the blog ... I've always read them and enjoyed the first posts, a good way to know what was happening in SL London before I joined SL. I'll follow your Trilogy, tho it'll be good to read you all here as well.I'm sure we'll see you all at the UGC

Hugssss!! xx

Hi Rogue and Nahiram,

Great to hear from you both, and thank you for your nice comments, I miss updating the blog already, but have lots of stories planned for the Trilogy blog, including some London ones. SL London is special to me, as are the people there, so I want to go on writing about the community from time to time on Trilogy, plus we have opened a little shop in Kensington and I'm hoping everyone will stop by for a chat!!
