Top Designers In Virtual London

Well what can I say! everyone who had anything to do with Virtual London Fashion Week had worked their socks off and what a week it was, ending with the most amazing show that anyone could ever imagine. Debs Regent had worked her magic to bring real life designers into our very own Virtual London. For the first half of the evening we were treated to an absolutely lovely collection from Sascha's Designs (which I will be bringing to you in detail in the next day or two, (I have my eye on a couple of her dresses that I really want!!)). Following Sascha's Designs we took a look into the real world of London Fashion Week.

Fabulous Haute Couture designer Maria Grachvogel, who dresses film stars such as Scarlett Johansson and Angelina Jolie, gave us a virtual look at her wonderful Autumn-Winter 2009 collection.

Top designers Savannah and Sienna Miller gave us a brilliant preview of their collection for their brand ‘Twenty8Twelve’ Although, their brand has only been recently established, it is already adored by the international chic set.

The designer’s creations were reproduced in SL by our most talented and well loved virtual designers, Nils Tomorrow, Estelle Parnall, Lixena Lamourfou and Watcher Gastaignede. These designers worked tirelessly to get the show ready in just a couple of days.

First out on the catwalk was Estelle modelling Maria’s elegant gown with a fitted black top over a narrowed tiered floor length skirt, the soft ruffled skirt making a nice contrast to the tightly fitting plain top.

Model Anastasia was next out, wearing a silky sleeveless high neck dress with a zebra print design, featuring a peachy floral print panel on the bodice. Following Anastasia was Amber in a lovely black chiffon dress with ruffles and a satin neckline.

Modelling the next outfit was Lonnie, who looked very smart in a knee length day dress with a casual neck tie. Making her entrance model BlackLiquid looked adorable in a delightful black satin top over neat tweed trousers.

Estelle was next to model for Twenty8Twelve with a pretty patterned mini dress with an open neck and contrasting black belt. Estelle also modelled a great black top with a keyhole detail in the back and rhinestone shoulder pads, to add that casual look she teamed the top with fade wash blue trousers. Model Naiya looked very sophisticated in a figure hugging cowl necked dress with flowers on the neckline.

Model Svenja looked terrific in a light blue mini dress. The glittery stretch fabric really caught the eye and this would make a lovely party dress. By contrast model Sweetest looked very chic in a black military style jacket over a cowl neck top and tight jeans.

The Kensington, where the show was held, was packed out with avatars and in spite of the lag, plus problems with items being slow to rez at the beginning, the show was a huge success. Show host Ruskin Thor did a fantastic job keeping everyone informed and making sure the event ran smoothly. We were privileged to be able to see these real life designer’s collections in-world and this can only be the start of many more top designers using SL 3D technology to present their creations in the future.
